We are pleased to announce that the RPA have made a commitment to hold a symposium on the work of Robert Pirsig in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 14-16 April 2026. The event is being hosted in association with the “Big History 5.0 Conference” (*), probably on the first day of the three, so we are sharing the date for your diaries. We are particularly excited to be holding the event in SE Asia, in contrast to previous US and European activities, and hope our members in Asia and Australasia will also be able to participate.
The Metaphysics of Quality in the work of Robert Pirsig
– the enduring relevance and urgency of Quality in the 21st century.
Look out for future notifications on the Conference and Symposium programmes, the keynotes, the venue, and a call for papers in due course. Note (*) – Big History puts the story of humanity in the context of the evolutionary history of the wider cosmos and ecosystems. The Big History concept became an educational project promoted via TED and the Gates Foundation and we discover ongoing shared interests today with RPA members in Asia, for example in the work of Khoo Hock Aun and Barry Rodrigue.
